Michael Martindale

Principal, Designated Broker - CRA  

In Fall of 2008, Michael Martindale became Principal and Designated Broker of CRA. From 1991 to 2008, Michael Martindale worked as Principal and Co-Founder of CRA, a unique collaborative brokerage environment where sales people work together as a team and do not compete with one another. The firm's success is evident in the consistent market share that CRA achieved in the Phoenix Metro marketplace.  

From 1989 to 1991, during the Savings and Loan Crisis, Michael worked with many lending institutions, including Bank One, Citibank, Bank of America, private lenders and the Resolution Trust Corporation in workouts, trades, restructures, foreclosures and Real Estate Owned marketing. Michael assisted with Note sales used to extricate builders and lenders from situations where a property's viability was reduced or eliminated.  

From 1986 to 1989, Michael worked as Division President for Design Master Homes. During his tenure with Design Master, Michael was key in the platting and development of over 2,500 lots, building 1,000 homes, selling 480 apartment units and selling commercial acreage in Phoenix and Prescott, Arizona and in Las Vegas, Clark County and Henderson, Nevada.  

In 1983, Michael was recruited by Pulte Home Corporation to provide greater land development capability as they moved from building 300 homes to building 1,000 homes annually on company developed properties. He was responsible for all aspects of planning, zoning, platting, budget analysis, and construction of off-site improvements, including master-planned communities. During this time, he processed and developed over 2,800 lots annually in Arizona, and participated in market analyses in California and on several corporate assignments.  

Until 1983, Michael worked for The Allen Group, a Canadian development company with $65 million in assets, handling land, office and apartment acquisitions. He founded and operated an in-house property management operation of over 2,000 apartments. During this time, the company converted 15 apartment projects to condominiums, for which Michael managed sales, construction and financing.

Michael Martindale graduated in 1974 with a degree in Business Administration in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada from Camosun College. He currently holds an Arizona Real Estate Brokers License, is a member of the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, is a full member of The Urban Land Institute, and serves as a founding board member of the Pinal Partnership.
